Overview

The Glades Resort began as a private country club in the ‘70’s by land baron Joe B. Hendry with a hotel, marina, golf course, and a fine club house - which was reputed to host card games for such magnates as Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, who resided in nearby Fort Myers. Joe B’s son Joel Hendry took the baton and created the Branding Iron Steakhouse at our club house. Following this era,
