McDowell Mountain Regional Park

Overview

Located in the northeast region of Phoenix, the McDowell Mountain Regional Park offers more than 50 miles of trails for all levels of difficulty. Mountain bikes, horses, and hikers can see desert wildlife up-close and view the Phoenix/Scottsdale skyline or mountain ranges to the north. Those looking for an easy hike should try the North Trail at 3.1 miles. Those looking for a good workout for themselves or their horses should try the Pemberton at 15.3 miles. Trailheads are accessible from McDowell Mountain Park Dr and McDowell Mountain Rd. The park is open 365 days a year, Sun-Thu: 6am-8pm and Fri-Sat: 6am-10pm.
